Jurgen's Cake - a poem by Jurgen Braunohler, Elliot Lake
"JURGEN'S CAKE.
Jurgen came from East York.
He moved up here to Elliot Lake.
He had an operation
'Cause he always ate his cake.
He ate the Wurst Things
Of his life with grit
And all the Good Things too.
He didn't know just when to quit:
His appendix like a bomb it blew.
But Jurgen is a bugger.
He gobbled up his Looming Doom!
He gobbled up the road up here
What next do you think
He's going to do?"
Jurgen Braunohler.
Please note, "worst" was misspelled on purpose. Wurst is the German word for sausage. This is my attempt to resist negativism.
